This was a challenge! Lawrence’s father is never of his local village’s Dickens Society and every year they entertain the villagers who attend the annual Christmas Market. At the eleventh hour we where asked to create an “disguise” character make-up to change Laurens Kelatow Sr. into the grumpy Scrooge from “A Christmas Carol”
A full-face silicone make-up was created and applied in a mere 16 hours! Lawrence sculpted the prosthetics in MonsterClay on a plaster positive. The sculpt took about 6 hours to make. Another 3 hours were spend in creating a epoxy-surfaced Ultracal-30 mold. Cleaning and filling it with silicone took another 3 hours. Demolding and packaging took another hour. The makeup itself took about 3 hours to complete.
